Overview: A rose grown for its single, bee-friendly golden-yellow blooms.

Mature size: Approximately 3–4 ft. tall and wide.

Sun exposure: Full sun to partial shade — one of the few roses that blooms reasonably well in partial shade

Flowering season: Continuous bloom from spring to frost

Hardiness: USDA Zones 5–9

Water needs: Average; water during drought to keep blooms coming, and mulch to retain soil moisture

Special features: Trained as a single-trunk tree form rather than a bushy shrub. Bred with open, single-petaled blooms that give pollinators easier access to the flower's center. Bred for strong resistance to black spot, a disease that plagues most roses; heat- and humidity-tolerant; needs less pruning than most roses — a light prune in late February is usually enough; deadheading spent blooms encourages faster reblooming

Wildlife value: Bees and other pollinators

Botanical name: Rosa x 'SRPylwko'

Category: Shrubs & Trees
